Preventative Maintenance Therapy
  1. The effectiveness of your home care procedures will be evaluated. You will be provided with a new brush, floss, or other equipment you may need to do your job.
  2. Re-measure the periodontal pocket depths throughout your mouth at regular intervals.
  3. Take whatever x-rays which may be necessary to evaluate your progress.
  4. Remove hard deposits, tarter, stain, and roughness from teeth to facilitate your daily cleaning.
  5. Apply medications to reduce root sensitivity.
  6. Adjust your bite as necessary. We will clean and adjust your plastic bite-guard if you have one.
  7. Perform an oral cancer exam.
  8. Advise you when additional active treatment may be necessary. (Particularily borderline areas which we have been watching and which may have gotten worse.
  9. Your Blood Pressure will be checked.
  10. Your medical history will be dated.
